Data controller

Our approach: privacy by design
EchaCuentas is built to collect as little data as possible. There are no user accounts and no forms that send data to our servers. Fonts are served from our own domain, without connections to third-party services.
Data we process
- Calculator inputs: we do not collect them. They are processed only in your browser.
- History and preferences: if you save a calculation, choose dark mode or use calculators, that is stored in your browser's local storage. We have no access to it and you can delete it at any time from the calculator or from your browser.
- Messages: if you email us, we process your address, your name if you give it and the content of the message.
- Technical data: our hosting provider may log connection data (such as IP address and browser) for security and to run the service.
- Analytics: if you accept, we use analytics tools to learn which calculators are used.
- Advertising: Google and its partners may process identifiers and browsing data to show and measure ads, and, where you consent or the law allows, to personalize them.

Retention
We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your message and then for the legal limitation periods. What is saved in your browser stays there until you delete it.
Recipients
We do not sell or share your personal data. Our hosting provider and, if advertising is active, Google may access it as processors, under their own policies (how Google uses information from sites that use its services).
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to contacto@echacuentas.com. If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Depending on where you live, your state's privacy laws may give you additional rights, which you can also exercise at that address.
Children
Students use the site. Since the calculators do not collect data, using them does not involve processing children's data. Children under 13 should not send us personal data by email without a parent's or guardian's permission.
Security
The site is always served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy because of legal changes or changes to the service. The version in force is always the one published here, with its date.
