What cookies are
They are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies exist alongside them, such as the browser's local storage. They are used to remember preferences or to measure and show ads.
Which we use
| Type | Owner | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
Technical and preferences (local storage: ec-theme, ec_recent, ec_hist_*, ec-consent, ec-pais) | Ours | Remember light or dark mode, recent calculators, your calculation history, your country and your cookie choice. Never sent to a server. | Not needed (exempt) |
| Analytics | Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) | Learn which calculators are used, in aggregate. | Yes |
| Advertising | Google and its partners | Show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, where allowed, personalize them (for example __gads, __gpi, IDE; Google publishes the exact list on its advertising cookies page). | Where required by law |
Managing your consent
Where consent is required, you can accept, reject or configure cookies on your first visit and change your choice at any time from «Cookie preferences» in the footer. Rejecting them does not stop you from using any calculator.
Deleting them in your browser
If you clear local storage, you will also lose your calculation history and your preferences.
